James GordonThe 2020-21 NBA season is fast approaching and is scheduled to start on the 22nd. December. As the teams prepare for the next campaign, many of them will be pulling new strings in the field.
During the off-season, the Nike and Jordan brands will show their new look throughout the competition as the different franchises renew their uniform line-up.
Teams such as the Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets and Toronto Raptors will wear brand new uniforms at the start of the season, while others will showcase the new City and Throwback Edition uniforms on selected days.

New Urban Uniform
Oklahoma Thunder.
Thunder pulled the last uniform out of town on Oklahoma State Day, and for good reason: The t-shirt bears the name of the state for the first time and is a tribute to the 46th anniversary of the founding of the state. The colors are inspired by the sunsets in Oklahoma.

The traces of San Antonio
Over the last three seasons, the Spurs’ City Edition t-shirts have been camouflaged, but this year the team has changed its image, taking inspiration from the popular warm-up games of the 1990s.

Although the colour scheme has already been used for warm-ups and in the team logo, it will appear for the first time in Spurs’ history in burgundy knits and shorts – which, contrary to Coyote’s statements, are not optional for players.
New Orleans Pelicans
The new look of the City Edition Pelicans is a tribute to the New Orleans flag, with red, white and blue colours and three golden lilies on the chest and another one on the belt.

The Chicago Bulls
No small projects. This is a line above the sign of the new Chicago City Edition uniform, part of a quote from Daniel Burnham, a city planner after the great Chicago fire of 1871. The new look has an inverted geometric pattern reminiscent of the Art Deco shapes of urban buildings and a font inspired by the signage of the Unified Centre.

The Suns of Phoenix
Black is back in the Phoenix, as Sens took advice from Deandre Eaton and Kelly Oobre, Jr. for his urban edition of Valley Uniform 2020-21.

Charlotte will wear a coin to depict the city where the first American branch of the Mint is located, as well as gold and granite accents in memory of the Carolina Gold Rush of the early 19th century.
Philadelphia 76
The new City Edition uniform for the 2020-21 season in Philadelphia will be black. For the first time since the 2008/09 season, the 76th will be black.

The Magic pays tribute to the official structure of the state of Florida and to the emblematic uniform of the City Edition team.

Gold state soldiers
Epoch We Believe – Warriors – will be given the status of an urban edition for the 2020-21 season, as the franchise will wear the Auckland uniform for the first time in the team’s history.

The Oakland Forever jersey was inspired by the look of the franchise from 1997 to 2010, when its shape became iconic after the Warriors eliminated the Dallas Mavericks in six games in 2007.
Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta worked with the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the NBA, the National Basketball Association and Nike to release MLK Nike City Edition 2020-21.

Black, old gold and white are the indications that the king belonged to the first black brotherhood with the Greek letters Alpha Phi Alpha.
Portland Blazers Track
The Blazers presented their design at the City Edition, a tribute to the home state of the team in Oregon. According to the team, the uniform celebrates the unique beauty of the Oregon landscape and honours and recognizes the indigenous peoples in everything that is now the state of Oregon, which has been called home from the beginning.

The Kings have decided to pay tribute to the four previous eras in a single image, as their City Edition uniforms will show their 1985 Baby Blues uniforms, the 1994 controls, the 2000 black sets and the latest red Sactown City Edition 2019.
New litters for Brooklyn and Memphis
The Brooklyn Networks
Nets brings back the classic look of the 90’s with its uniforms and a new platform for the 2020-21 NBA season. Brooklyn will wear a red, white and blue uniform with a tie pattern, which will be combined with the new flooring in the Barclays Centre.

The performances pay tribute to the Nets from 1990 to 97, and players like Drazen Petrovich, Kenny Anderson and Derrick Coleman promoted him to the team’s New Jersey days.

In the black uniform we find the well-known colours red, turquoise and white with a Memphis on the chest.
Three teams receive a revision of form
Charlotte Horns
The hornets will wear the new uniforms of the Association and the Icon edition with a double stripe, which they wore from 1997 to 2002.

The white Association edition contains blue-green elements with purple accents, while the Icon edition contains white elements with purple accents.
Atlanta Falcons
The Hawks have designed new uniforms for the 2020-21 season, inspired by the colors and history of the Atlanta franchises since 1968.

Atlanta will wear four unique colours – Infinite Black, Hereditary Yellow, Torch Red and Granite Grey – to honour the falcon’s heritage.
Toronto Raptors
During the 2020-21 season the Raptors will honour their past with their uniforms. The team has introduced three of the five types of uniforms – the Association Edition, the Icon Edition and the Declaration Edition – with two more releases currently scheduled before the season begins.

The white (Association) and red (Icon) uniform has a new chevron on the chest, while the black and red (Declaration) uniform is meant to evoke memories of the ancient Dinosaur Raptor uniform.
