James GordonAfter a nearly two-year break, Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty returned this week, and fans are very, very excited. As a result, spoilers and theories are all the rage online, and @RickandMorty ‘s Twitter account has become the latest target of the spoiler police. Fans are pushing the account to deliver the spoilers they want, and they’re taking any attempt to quell the speculation with the utmost seriousness.
Spoiler Alert, this is a massive SPOILER. The show’s fourth season aired in summer 2017, marking the show’s return to Adult Swim after a three year hiatus. However, the show’s fifth season won’t air until this summer. Rick and Morty’s production company, Adult Swim, are notorious for the huge spoilers they leak before each season airs, so it’s no surprise they’ve already teased Season 5.
If you are a fan of Rick and Morty , then you were probably aware that the Season 5 premiere was going to be released only a few days after the Season 4 finale. However, it seems that some of you were not on board with this decision, as a recent Reddit post and a tweet from showrunner Dan Harmon show that a lot of people are not satisfied with the way the release was handled.

Fans of Rick and Morty were surprised to see one of their favorite characters reappear in the fifth season’s latest episode! The fifth season of the show has been a bit of a shock, with each episode being drastically different from the last. There has been little sense of canon in the fifth season so far, apart from a few tiny character strands connecting each quest together. That all changed with Episode 7, “Gotron Jerrysis Rickvangelion,” which followed the events of the season’s fourth episode.
The fourth episode of the series, “Rickdependence Spray,” was the strangest of the season, with even the show’s writer calling it “disgusting and unpleasant,” as it concluded with Morty’s now-alive sperm fertilizing Summer’s egg, which was blown up to an explosive magnitude by the US government. Despite all of this, the baby did make an appearance in Episode 7.
Morty and Summer’s gigantic kid made a surprise appearance at the conclusion of the show after making numerous references to the “huge incest baby” floating about in space throughout the episode. Outside of the decoy episode earlier in the season, it’s a nice confirmation that the events of the season have all been closely connected to one another.
