Flora & Ulysses Trailer Unleashes the World’s First Superhero Squirrel on Disney+

Disney+ has released the trailer for the upcoming adventure comedy Flora & Ulysses. The film will premiere exclusively on Friday, February 19. 2021. The plot introduces a new kind of adventure with a small furry superhero who has definitely mastered the superhero landing attitude. Thanks to Disney, Ulysses has probably seen his fair share of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, as he seems to do a pretty good imitation of Iron Man when he lands.

Flora & Ulysses is based on a book about 10-year-old Flora, a cynical, self-destructive comic book fan whose parents recently divorced. The trailer shows her flipping through the pages of the Captain Marvel and Miss Marvel comics. When she rescues a squirrel she calls Ulysses, Flora is surprised to discover that he possesses unique superhero powers that lead her on adventures with humorous entanglements that ultimately change Flora’s life – and her view of the world – forever.

The stars of Flora and Ulysses: Matilda Lawler, Alyson Hannigan, Ben Schwartz, Anna Deaver Smith, Danny Pudi, Benjamin Evans Ainsworth, Jane Garofolo and Kate McCucci. Directed by: Lena Khan, Production: Gil Netter. Unlike many other recent Disney+ projects, this adventure was developed with streaming in mind. The idea was to make a movie that families could watch and enjoy at home, which fits very well with the year 2021 (even if it wasn’t intended to be). Production assistant Jenny Lee said this about the film before the pandemic broke out.

It’s hard for families to get into a movie theater. It’s expensive. It’s a test. So much money. So you can watch it over and over again. This particular story, it seems to me, appeals to many ages. Whether your child is 5 or 15 or even other adults at home. Everyone can watch. Everyone can find something they can relate to. So I think it will be great to see the family when you’re home and hanging out, several times in a row.

Alyson Hannigan recently discussed the possibility of bringing Flora & Ulysses to Disney+. It turned out that she and her family were already big fans of the book series. We discovered her books when my oldest was in kindergarten, and we’ve been big fans ever since, the actress said. In fact, my first instinct when my agents suggested it to me was YES! Then I thought,] Maybe you should read the script first, Hannigan said, laughing. From there he set out to do justice to the book series.

From the novel Flora and Ulysses: The script for The Illuminated Adventures of Kate DiCamillo was written by Brad Copeland. Cutterly Frauenfelder and James Powers were executive producers. As for the honesty of the books, it seems that Alyson Hannigan and his team were able to deliver on that promise, even with the small amount of footage seen in the trailer. You can watch the Flora & Ulysses trailer above, thanks to the official Walt Disney Studios channel on YouTube.
