The Golden State Warriors did not have the easiest start of the NBA 2020-21 season. They suffered two defeats against two title candidates, which brought some concern given the poor performance of the team at the Chase Center. Golden State has reorganized this season, but the absence of Klay Thompson and Draymond Green deprives the team of a chance to participate in the Western Conference.

After the Milwaukee Bucks dominated the Dubs in a 138-99 victory, Curry talked about the team’s difficulties in the first two games of the season and admitted that much progress still needs to be made to reach the level they aspire to. This season, like the previous one, has not started well for them and they have to adapt quickly if they want to have the same record as last year.

Curry has already made it clear what the team needs by pointing out its shortcomings and how it can remedy them.

Steph Curry: The collective IQ of our group should be much better.

When asked what the biggest problems were in the first two games, Steph Curry said that I mean, a lot.

Steph argued that the team doesn’t come close to the level she wants to win. Last season was full of changes for them, but the Warriors shouldn’t be so bad.

Steph Curry: We played against two teams aspiring to the championship. We are aware of the need to reach this level, but we are not there yet.

Steph Curry: At first we didn’t expect it to be so difficult, but we knew it would be a long process.

In the end, he said he believes Dubs Nation needs to win as soon as possible to turn things around in a season that presents them with many challenges.

Steph Curry: We have to win. Right away.

Kelly Oubre Jr. and Andrew Wiggins did not play well in the first two games of the season, severely compromising the Warriors’ chances of winning.

The first two games of the season were not so good for the young duo and Oubre did not score a single goal, which is not a breach of contract. It upsets the Dubs, and Steph is well aware of that.

This is certainly not a good situation for Golden State, and Steve Kerr and his students need to find a way to turn the situation around and become the competitive team they want to be. It will be a very long season for Warriors fans if the team doesn’t get better soon. Former warrior Zaza Pachulia has argued that Curry needs help, otherwise this team will have a lot of problems during the season.
