NFL 2021 Preliminaries

Reigning Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs were seeded to the NFC, while MVP Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers were seeded to the NFC. Both teams will rest this weekend, with both teams withdrawing from their respective leagues.

Here are the matches that will take place during the Wild Card Weekend:

AFC Games :

The Indianapolis Colts (11-5), No. 7, sown No. 2 (13-3) (Saturday).

Josh Allen and the Bills takes on Philip Rivers and the Colts in one of the most intriguing races of the weekend. This will be the second play-off game of Allen’s career and could be the last for Rivers, who admitted that his 17-year career could be over after this season. One of the highlights will be his cornerback Xavier Rhodes on Bills’ wide Stefon Diggs, who is in the NFL for receiving (127) and receiving yards (1,535). Favorite Accounts 6.5 at home.

The Baltimore Ravens (11-5), fifth, take on the Tennessee Titans (11-5), fourth (Sunday).

Ryan Tannehill and Lamar Jackson face each other again in the playoffs. The Titans went to Baltimore for the last post-season and won with 28-12, now Jackson and Co. are the visitors. The Ravens enter this game on a five-game winning streak and are well positioned to defend against the NFL’s all-time leading runner, Derrick Henry, who has accumulated 2,027 yards on the ground this season. Henry averaged 5.4 yards per carry and faced a Baltimore defense that allowed only 8 yards against the run with 108.8 yards per game on the ground.

Cleveland Browns (11-5) to the Pittsburgh Steelers (12-4) (Sunday), the No. 3 seed.

It becomes a veteran against a youth fight as Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers take on Baker Mayfield and the Browns. Under freshman head coach Kevin Stefanski, Cleveland makes his first appearance in the playoffs, but Stefanski will miss the team’s first post-season game since 2002 after a positive test for COWID-19. The importance of the absence of the coach at Mayfield, who made his debut in qualifying, could be an important factor in this match.

NFC Games :

The Los Angeles Rams (10-6), seeded No. 6, and the Seattle Seahawks (12-4), seeded No. 3, met on Saturday.

These two NFC West opponents shared their season series, with each team winning at home. The Rams can still be without quarterback Jared Goff, who is still recovering from a broken thumb. Coach Sean McVay won’t reveal before the game whether replacement John Wolford will make his career debut, but it should come down to whether LA Russell Wilson’s dominant defense can stop Wilson. Led by Aaron Donald and Jaylen Ramsey, the team is in the top three in all major defense categories and is number one in power play and general defense. If they can keep Wilson, it doesn’t matter who’s downtown.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (11-5), seeded No. 5, defeated the Washington football team (7-9), seeded No. 5. 4 (Saturday).

Tom Brady is back in the post-season and faces the second best defense in the Washington league. Led in defense by debutant Chase Young and in offense by veteran Alex Smith, Washington sneaked in the playoffs after winning the NFC East crown last week. Smith’s recovery from the leg injury that almost ended his career and his later starter position has been one of the best stories of the competition so far. When he takes on players like Brady, the ultimate David versus Goliath scenario emerges that should make for an exciting weekend.

7 Chicago Bears (8-8) to nr. 2 New Orleans Saints (12-4) (Sunday).

The Bears took the Saints in overtime when the two teams met in the regular season, with New Orleans winning 26-23. Nick Foles was in downtown Chicago, but that’s not gonna happen here with Mitch Trubisky in downtown. Trubisky’s mobility, along with David Montgomery’s recent success (he has 598 yards and eight touchdowns in his last six games), will have to hold for the Saints if they want to avoid defeat. Brees was unable to throw the ball as well as he was used to, but he should be able to take advantage of a Bears defense that will probably be without line defender Rowan Smith.
