Giannis has a unique defensive talent and Butler is a great talent, a scorer, a passer, Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said. It takes a lot of discipline to protect a man like Jimmy Butler. The fact that Giannis is so disciplined and competitive makes him special. In addition to Antetokounmpo’s work against Butler, Lopez has become an indomitable defender in the paint for Milwaukee. He stopped 76 shots in the series, while Miami converted just 32 percent of its attempts, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Milwaukee’s scoring superiority was another deciding factor in their win over the Heat. The Bucks grabbed more than a third of the rebounds they missed – their 33.6 percent offensive rebounding percentage during the series would lead the NBA in the regular season by a wide margin. Additionally, their 78.8% defensive rebounding percentage against Miami would be the best in the league during the regular season.
