First Reactions Hit the Internet

Wonder Woman 1984 has come a long way, but fans will finally see one of DC’s most anticipated films at the end of this month. The film was scheduled for theatrical release earlier this year, but due to the coronavirus pandemic the film has been postponed this year. After another move, the film finally landed at Christmas, but then Warner Bros. shocked everyone by announcing that it would also be released on HBO Max in the first month, and now those who were lucky enough to see the film are sharing their first reactions on social networks.

His own Brandon Davis was one of those happy spectators, and he said the same thing about the movie, although you can read his full thoughts here.

I saw #WonderWoman1984! @PattyJenks literally made an 80’s film in every way, which is what makes it so unique today. Both feel more than in the first war, and more moderate at the same time.

Pedro Pascal and Kristen Vig are for me the strong points of #WonderWoman1984.

Pascal attacks the wild statue of Max Lord, an evil and confrontational villain.

The development of Cheetah Vig through the film is heartbreaking but epic. We need more! #WWW84 pic.twitter.com/hBIUDkXCFN

We’ve had even more reactions to the expected sequel, starting on the next slide, and people seem to appreciate the blossoming of this 80’s film, the great action and the refreshing sound.

You can see the official description of Wonder Woman 1984 below.

In 1984, during the Cold War, Diana comes into conflict with two formidable enemies – media entrepreneur Maxwell Lord and a friend who has become Barbara Minerva/Gita’s enemy as she is reunited with her beloved Steve Trevor.

Erik Eisenberg of Cinemabland had nothing but amazing things.

Huge news: Wonder Woman 1984 is fantastic! The story is great and has a great contemporary message; it’s full of surprises; and the incredible work has been done with Cheetah and Max Lord (Wiig and Pascal are both on display). Get blown up, because this is a real business. #WonderWoman1984 #WWW1984 pic.twitter.com/9UQLyxn3gx

Eric Davis at Fandango said something about an absolute explosion.

I’m very happy to say that #WW84 is an absolute blast from start to finish. An extraordinary compliment for the first film, a stuffed heart, hope, love, action, romance and humour. @PattyJenks, @GalGadot & team delivered one of the best episodes of DC. I was in tears when it was over. pic.twitter.com/ivPkBFmehd

Schwartz said she liked it and that it was her favorite among modern DC movies.

I was lucky to be at the first (finally!) in Wonder Woman 1984. I loved it. The First Wonder Woman is my favourite in DC’s modern movies, and #WW84 takes every smart step to tell a very human and beautiful story for Diana Prince.
