PASO ROBLES – Firestone Walker, a craft brewer that has been in business for 25 years, and SLO Brewing Company announced on 15… April announced that they have signed a definitive agreement whereby Firestone Walker will acquire the Cali-Squeeze brand from SLO Brewing Company.
Packed with refreshing real fruit juices and a smooth hefeweizen body, Cali-Squeeze was launched in 2017 and was an instant hit. The infused brand came to the attention of Firestone Walker after noticing its rapid growth and success.
We have been good friends with Hamish and Rod for over 20 years and have been impressed with their dedication to innovation and the way they bring their brands to life, said David Walker, co-founder of Firestone Walker. Cali-Squeeze introduces us to a unique style of beer that we like to call Fruit with Benefits. As a craft brewer with traditional hops, we have seen these styles evolve and saw in Cali-Squeeze a beer to help us in this discovery.
Since its founding in 1996, Firestone Walker has grown into California’s premier craft brewery, with brands like 805, Union Jack and Mind Haze, as well as a history of vintage ale programming. Firestone Walker believes its state-of-the-art brewery and distribution platform will take Cali-Squeeze to the next level and make new friends along the way. Cali-Squeeze retains its own identity and brings a new beer style and brand offering to the Firestone Walker family.

No details of the transaction were disclosed, except that it will be completed within a year. July is expected, subject to normal closing conditions. SLO Brewing Co will continue to produce Cali Squeeze during the transition to maintain inventory on shelves in the western United States.
