The episode begins with John writing a letter in June and getting ready to spend the day in the house. He tells her he thought a lot about his father. He’s got holes and a toothache. He doesn’t like being away from her. To tell you the truth, my family hasn’t stayed together as long as I wanted, he explains. I thought I could say the same now. His home toothache medicine won’t cure that. He goes towards the community of Virginia, past Virginia, the church and another building. He checks his weapon for a day, takes the security measures, spends the day and returns the weapon. I’ll say it again. He is happy here, works to protect people and occasionally receives letters from June. One day the officer he replaces will be out of service. They find out that Cameron, who was trapped in the wire, was eaten by hikers.
The opening credits play fear of death.

Elsewhere, Morgan enters the meeting place where Daniel leaves him provisions. The sweatshirt inside that gives Morgan emotional memories belonged to Grace. He goes back to his truck where his dog is waiting for him. The dog sniffs the shirt and Morgan is not sure how it will work, but he expects the dog to find the person whose shirt it was. He’s nervous. Grace won’t recognize him.
At night, John works to secure Cameron’s death scene. In Virginia, if Cameron has too much to drink, it’s like an accident. She discourages him from continuing the investigation, but he does when she leaves and finds an earring in the ground. In the city of Stern, John and Stern are connected. The roller shutter is now on the moving board.
The next day John tells Janice that he has a bad feeling about what happened to Cameron.

The next day John goes to Virginia and tells her he doesn’t think Cameron hit a fence. He shows her the earring and tells her to find someone with the right earring. She asks him to stay calm during the examination and gives him back the earring.
In the cemetery is Cameron’s funeral in the parish. Then John gives candy to his sister Virginia Dakota because he can’t get it. Suddenly the rangers discovered that Janice was trying to escape and tied her up. Virginia wants you to go through her bag and find another earring.
Later, John Janice locks up. He found his drawing in Cameron’s room. Janice claims Jeannie’s trying to set her up.

John was summoned to Virginia’s office. She’s trying to close the case because it was Janice, and she knows Janice delivered letters to John in June. She claims Cameron insisted on reading the letters. We need to set an example for Virginia John feels betrayed that Virginia knows so much about him.
Outside John is approached by Dakota, who asks him if he ever killed anyone. I did, but I didn’t want to, he explains.
At night John decides to dig Cameron’s grave. Walkers approach him and fall into the pit. He hits them on the head with his hand against a shovel and then splits the other person’s head open. When things calm down, he finds a piece of the handle of the knife stuck in Cameron’s hand.

The next day John Strand visited her grave and explained his findings. Weapons are only available to certain people. Beach has to show it to the armory, the knife is missing, and John gets a description. Documenting a page when it was torn out. He’s on a mission to find a knife. Strand advises John to think carefully about whether or not he wants to go down this road.
John goes to Janice’s house and is surprised to see Virginia and the beach coming. They’re here to get the confession they’re gonna get. Janice explains that she pushed Cameron into the fence. She tells John she’s just ready to die.

John’s drinking with Jacob. He remembers the story of his father chasing a serial killer. His father broke the rules to get that man convicted. He was later recognized, and no one else trusted him. He had to do what he did, he did, John explained. It made life harder for him and his family, but he did it for the good of everyone. Jacob urges John to find another way. He left a letter to Jacob for the month of June, in which he stated that he might see her again. John has accepted his fate.
Later he packed his suitcase to hear the sound of the radio. A bunch of prams is eating something. John shoot him. The bottom half of the man is here. The upper half is crawling. It’s me, Janice. He drops them off and goes into town. Jacob’s trying to stop him. Beach appears and urges John to slow down. John takes a slap in the face. The rope’s fighting back. John started pounding on the beach and announced you’d killed her! Beach announces that he saved John’s life and stopped him from going down with her.

Later, John stood beside Virginia singing her praises to the people of Lawton. She gives him the key and calls him the ranger. He agrees.
Later, John will go to bed. Suddenly June comes. He came into conflict at the expense of his presence. He remembers the music that was played to kill Janice. He looks in the mirror for his toothache. He decides to tear it off himself with pliers.
Morgan continues his journey to another place. He talks to a dog when his truck is suddenly run over by another one. There’s nothing wrong with the dog. He’s coming to another car. Morgan asks questions to the man who gets out of the car. This man wants to know where Emil is. They want the key Emil left them. Morgan warns them, but they’re still trying to fight. He kills one of them. The other one sees the key around Morgan’s neck. Morgan hit him in the heart when he was attacked again. He looks at the key and wonders what it opens.
