NHL Power Rankings – 1-31 poll, plus the biggest disappointment for every team in the 2021 season

The 2021 NHL season is officially taking shape as the February schedule approaches. For this week’s Power Rankings, we’ve identified the biggest disappointment for each team so far.

How we stand: ESPN’s editors make a selection from 1 to 31 teams – taking into account past results and off-season additions – and these results are compiled into the list presented here.

Note: The previous rankings for each team are from our Week 2 edition, which was published on January 27. The rankings will be published in the games on February 2.

It was a shame for Tampa Bay to win the Stanley Cup and then not be able to raise the banner in front of the fans. They also started their series with a 4-0 win at Amalie Arena, but have not yet been able to greet the public.

Coach Peter DeBoer said last week that the team is trying out new concepts. “We haven’t come together as a group yet,” he said. “But I think that’s going to happen.”
